随着生活质量的提高，现在的青少年成长的很快，身高的不断增长。现在的学校普遍性的存在课桌和学生身高不匹配的现象，个子高的同学很多都喜欢趴在桌椅上，原因就是坐的时间久了，由于一直弯着腰的原因所以感觉很累，脖子酸痛。这样一来时间久了影响学习不说，还会出现驼背、视力下降等情况。

Many tall students like to lie on desks and chairs because they sit for a long time and feel tired and sore due to constantly bending their waist. 近期一些相关部门对学校的教学环境进行检测。结果显示，除了农村学校教室人均面积符合卫生要求的达到８７％，县城和城市学校教室人均 面积、各类学校黑板及采光符合卫生要求的均为７０％左右。更为严重的是，农村、县城和城市学校学生电动桌配置均存在严重问题，符合率只有５５％左右，有一半的学校学生电动桌配置与学生的身高不配套，成为引起学生近视、斜肩、耸肩和驼背等问题的主要因素。

国家质检总局２００３年颁布了《学校电动桌功能尺寸标准》，根据不同身高确定了１０类桌椅高度标准，各型号电动桌高度跨度为１４厘米，其中低为４９厘米 （小学低年级），高为７６厘米（高中）。假如学生身高１３０厘米，桌面应选择５５;５８厘米，坐面高应选择３０;３２厘米为宜。 教学设备公司提示：这一现象应该引起学校及家长们的重视。不仅要关注孩子们的学习，更要关注孩子们的健康，让孩子们双方面的成长。
