2003年，国家质检总局又颁布《学校餐桌椅功能尺寸标准》，按照规定，中小学校使用的餐桌椅外形可以任选，但桌高、桌下空区高和椅面高等主要尺寸必须符合国家标准。国家标准规定，学校预置餐桌椅时，要根据学生学年中期乃至末期身高组成比例情况，确定各种大小型号数量，餐桌椅出厂前，必须附着永久性标牌，标明大小型号和学生身高范围。教育部门指导采购人员应取得学校卫生保健人员的协助，有计划地购置。

Before leaving the factory, permanent signs must be attached to the dining tables and chairs, indicating the size, model, and height range of students. The education department should guide procurement personnel to obtain assistance from school healthcare personnel and make planned purchases.
