国家质检总局又颁布《学校餐桌椅功能尺寸标准》，根据学生的不同身高确定了10类桌椅高度标准。各型号餐桌椅高度跨度为14厘米，其中低为49厘米（小学低年级），高为76厘米（高中）。按照规定，中小学校使用的餐桌椅外形以任选，但桌高、桌下空区高和椅面高等主要尺寸必须符合国家标准。
